Here’s some FAQ and a breakdown of what’s typically involved in a recurring service schedule.

What does 'recurring pool services' mean, exactly?

When discussing recurring pool services we're referring to a series of pool maintenance bookings that have been scheduled at regular intervals for a total period of at least six months.

"We'll see you every second Tuesday between October and March!"

What do recurring pool services cost?

We'll fix your service price between $90 and $160 per service.

Your fee is determined by the scheduled service frequency and by characteristics of your pool such as its size, depth, its shape and its location.

Service fees do not include chemical costs. Chemical applications are often required to balance your water chemistry - what's required each time is highly variable and influenced mostly by weather and pool usage. It's therefore impossible to accurately predict however a safe expectation might be an additional cost between $20 and $80 at each service.

What tasks are completed for each service?

  • Backwash & Rinse or Cartridge Clean of Filter

  • Debris removal (leaves etc)

  • Empty skimmer baskets

  • Empty pump baskets

  • Full Vacuum of Pool

  • Scrub - Wall, Stairs & Pool Floors

  • Hand Scrub of high risk algae zones (e.g. ladders, lights)

  • Inspect for unwanted buildups such as calcium, blackspot or algae

  • Filter Health Check

  • Pump Health Check

  • Chlorinator & Salt Cell Health Check

  • Cleaning Tools Health Check (incl. Pool Robots)

  • Water Chemistry Analysis & Balance

  • Comprehensive Job Report & Images supplied via email

What if there's something more required on a service?

One of the key benefits of regularly scheduled pool services is the foresight of a professional - anything extra-ordinary in size or expense will generally be brought to your attention well in advance of it being required.

In the case of an unexpected or urgent repair, we'll consult you regarding price and work scope before we get started and get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.

How regularly should my pool be serviced?

Most residential pools require a fortnightly service schedule during warmer months when usage and algae risk is higher and scale back to monthly visits when the weather gets cooler.

That said - every pool is unique and although we'll recommend a certain interval, it's ultimately up to you how often your pool is serviced.

It's important to remember that pools can go green and be expensive to clean in as little as 24hrs - it's pays off to stay ahead of a pool becoming dirty and the best way to do that is with scheduled services.

How long does each service normally take to complete?

Typically, a recurring service will take anywhere between 45mins and 1hr 15mins depending on the pools complexity, size and location as well as that of your pump and filter system and as long as there's safe access to those things, it's not a requirement for you to be there each time.
